We had a wonderful opportunity to speak with James Evans of CARE recently - Companions and Animals for Reform and Equity. The animal welfare movement, including the No Kill movement, is based on a foundation of compassion. It is long past time that we include compassion for people in all that we do and we work to make strong connections with all people toward saving the lives of healthy and treatable animals in our nation's shelters.
