No Kill in Motion: Holiday Pet Adoptions

Writer: Aubrie KavanaughAubrie Kavanaugh

We hear all the time that people take issue with shelters adopting out animals during the holiday season or presume doing so will lead to returns in January. In this episode of No Kill in Motion we talk about adoption of animals during the holidays and giving animals as gifts. Naughty or nice? Isn't a failed adoption just a short-term foster which helps place animals?

Participating are Davyd Smith of No Kill Colorado, Alan Rosenberg of the New Jersey Animal Observer and Aubrie Kavanaugh of No Kill Huntsville and Paws4Change. The video runs about 14 minutes.

There are currently hundreds of communities across the USA whose shelters have stopped killing healthy or treatable pets. The shelters in your community can do that, too. If your community is not already No Kill, your shelters need to hear from you and your friends.... please get involved to save lives.
